“Lapis Lazuli” MCS sport weight blend of superwash merino wool, cashmere and silk by A Heap Of Sheep Yarn.

Imagine a hand-dyed yarn that captures the essence of lapis lazuli, featuring a rich, deep royal blue base interwoven with “heathered” variations of soft light gray. Each strand is a unique blend, reminiscent of the stone's natural beauty, where the bold blue hues dance with subtle gray flecks, creating a tapestry of color that evokes a sense of luxury and depth. This yarn not only embodies the striking elegance of lapis lazuli but also inspires creativity, making it perfect for knitting and crocheting projects that demand a touch of sophistication and a nod to nature's artistry.

This is a very special technique I use to create a heathered look, the heathering is created by color variations of dye only! The crimping that you see in the yarn fiber is part of the dye process, it will relax overtime or washing.

This yarn is buttery soft, and feels luxurious against the skin. The combination of these 3 fibers allows room for the cashmere to bloom and the merino wool to plump up and support them, while the silk adds a gorgeous sheen. It is ideal for shawls with the most beautiful drape, and three ply twist easily reveals the pattern.

-75% Superwash Merino Wool, 15 % Cashmere and 10% Silk. Sport Weight 100 gram Skein

The price is for one Hank/Skein of yarn weighing approximately 100g with approximately 245 yards in length.

The skeins are all hand-dyed, by myself, using professional acid dyes and high-quality soft yarns. If you require multiple skeins of yarn, please contact me to arrange that I create them from the same batch.

Although dyed in small batches with the same process, different fibers and artistic mood create a unique finished yarn. Please look carefully at the pictures to be sure you choose the fiber and variation that best suits your project. There is no dye lot for a hand dyed yarn as each skein is unique as it is created! Each skein is truly one of a kind!

It is recommended that you alternate skeins during your knitting or crochet project, to blend out variances that occur within the yarns.

Superwash Merino wool is known to be machine washable, but I still recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry to extend the life of the yarn and your project! I carefully rinse and wash the yarn after the dye process, but it is still possible a small amount of color may bleed out in the first wash.

With single skein, made to order yarn, the average shipping time is 5 to 7 business days after you place your order. Larger orders will take longer to process and ship, please message me prior to ordering to discuss the processing time.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns before you place your order.

Due to the variances in the fiber blends, twist or plies of the yarn bases, colors may shift or appear to have different tones.
