Blind date with a Hank… a hank of yarn that is! An elevated way to discover mystery yarn!
Use the clues and hints to help you choose! This requires some imagination but what blind date doesn’t have you intrigued before the reveal?
It’s a mystery but you can give it a good shot at deciphering it by following the written hints on the bag; Because each date is already a color way on my roster, you can browse my yarn on my website to try to pinpoint the blind date.

Each blind date with a Hank will have one skein of yarn, in a color way I have already created. This way you can always get more if you need it or just because you absolutely love it! Just like blind date, you won’t know what the color or fiber base is until you receive it.
I’ll help you along with a few tips…
Clues will reference the longevity of the blind date which could help you figure out the yarn weight/yardage.
My dye techniques are unique but will have a style you can recognize if read between the lines.
Colour theme hints may be in a fun riddle or twisted quote.

No subscription required, just pick a blind date whenever you want to spice up your creative juices. They are eager and waiting to “hook up”

A Heap Of Sheep Yarn uses super soft ethically sourced merino wool yarn. By combining high quality fiber and a dynamic hand dyed yarn style, I can help elevate your project vision! The skeins are all hand-dyed, by myself, using professional acid dyes and high-quality soft yarns.

Although dyed in small batches with the same process, different fibers and artistic mood create a unique finished yarn. There is no dye lot for a hand dyed yarn as each skein is unique as it is created! Each skein is truly one of a kind!

Tips

Although dyed in small batches with the same process, different fibers and artistic mood create a unique finished yarn. Please look carefully at the pictures to be sure you choose the fiber and variation that best suits your project. There is no dye lot for a hand dyed yarn as each skein is unique as it is created! Each skein is truly one of a kind!

It is recommended that you alternate skeins during your knitting or crochet project, to blend out variances that occur within the yarns.

Due to the variances in the fiber blends, twist or plies of the yarn bases, colors may shift or appear to have different tones.

Processing Time

With made to order yarn, the average shipping time is 5 to 7 business days after you place your order. Larger orders may take longer to process and ship, please message us prior to ordering to discuss the processing time for your specific needs.

Care

Super Wash Merino wool is known to be machine wash/dry friendly, but I still recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry to extend the life of the yarn and your project! I carefully rinse and wash the yarn after the dye process, but it is still possible a small amount of color may bleed out in the first wash.
