Colour

A Heap Of Sheep Yarn uses super soft ethically sourced merino wool yarn. By combining high quality fiber and a dynamic hand dyed yarn style, I can help elevate your project vision! Here, you find mixed bag petite mini skeins of yarn, this colour way is "Kim's Crayon Red"

These are sold as individual skeins, in the form of a 25 g +/- petite mini skein with a yardage of approximately 105 +/- yards on my sturdy sock yarn base which is 75% super wash merino wool and 25% nylon.

Why the variation in size?
**
Mini skeins can vary, depending on the tension difference when the plies are twisted and the skeins are put into small hanks. Each one may be between 24 - 27 g for the petite mini.

Mini skeins can be used for various projects like scrappy socks, granny squares, hat brims, or adding edging to projects. My fave way is the contrasting heel and toes on my socks! You can also incorporate them into shawls and scarves for texture.

Tips

Although dyed in small batches with the same process, different fibers and artistic mood create a unique finished yarn. Please look carefully at the pictures to be sure you choose the fiber and variation that best suits your project. There is no dye lot for a hand dyed yarn as each skein is unique as it is created! Each skein is truly one of a kind!

It is recommended that you alternate skeins during your knitting or crochet project, to blend out variances that occur within the yarns.

Due to the variances in the fiber blends, twist or plies of the yarn bases, colors may shift or appear to have different tones.

Processing Time

With made to order yarn, the average shipping time is 5 to 7 business days after you place your order. Larger orders may take longer to process and ship, please message us prior to ordering to discuss the processing time for your specific needs.

Care

Super Wash Merino wool is known to be machine wash/dry friendly, but I still recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry to extend the life of the yarn and your project! I carefully rinse and wash the yarn after the dye process, but it is still possible a small amount of color may bleed out in the first wash.
