Fiber Base

Daylily captures the fleeting beauty of a summer bloom kissed by the golden prairie sun. Rich speckles of deep plum and velvety burgundy dance alongside a glowing golden wheat yellow, creating a palette that’s both vibrant and elegantly earthy. Like a garden bursting into bloom at the height of summer, each stitch reveals delightful pops of color and unexpected depth. Available exclusively on our Sturdy DK Mini Skein, Daylily is perfect for adding a cheerful burst of color to colorwork, stripes, sock heels and toes, or any project that deserves a little floral magic.

A Heap Of Sheep Yarn uses super soft ethically sourced merino wool yarn. By combining high quality fiber and a dynamic hand dyed yarn style, I can help elevate your project vision!

The skeins are all hand-dyed, by myself, using professional acid dyes and high-quality soft yarns. If you require multiple skeins of yarn, please contact me to arrange that I create them from the same batch.

Below you will find the base described:

MINI Sturdy DK - 75/25 Super wash merino/nylon.This base balances softness with the durability and washability required for frequently used items with the addition of nylon. DK is great for baby blankets, sweaters, shawls, and cowls, and now your projects will last longer in this amazing base! You will find this yarn offers great stitch definition and the most vibrant colors. The price is for one MINI hank of yarn weighing approx 25g with 62yards.

Tips

Although dyed in small batches with the same process, different fibers and artistic mood create a unique finished yarn. Please look carefully at the pictures to be sure you choose the fiber and variation that best suits your project. There is no dye lot for a hand dyed yarn as each skein is unique as it is created! Each skein is truly one of a kind!

It is recommended that you alternate skeins during your knitting or crochet project, to blend out variances that occur within the yarns.

Due to the variances in the fiber blends, twist or plies of the yarn bases, colors may shift or appear to have different tones.

Processing Time

With made to order yarn, the average shipping time is 5 to 7 business days after you place your order. Larger orders may take longer to process and ship, please message us prior to ordering to discuss the processing time for your specific needs.

Care

Super Wash Merino wool is known to be machine wash/dry friendly, but I still recommend hand washing and laying flat to dry to extend the life of the yarn and your project! I carefully rinse and wash the yarn after the dye process, but it is still possible a small amount of color may bleed out in the first wash.
